What is an altered book?
An altered book is a recycled or vintage book that is transformed into a unique piece of art. Using techniques such as painting, collage, stamping, journaling, layering, tearing, folding, and embellishing, you’ll create beautiful pages that tell a story or express your creativity.
No artistic experience is necessary. You’ll learn simple mixed-media techniques while creating a personalized keepsake. Whether you enjoy scrapbooking, journaling, painting, or paper crafts, altered books offer endless creative possibilities.
Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Fun for all ages, children and adults!
All supplies are provided (or bring a favorite old hardcover book if you’d like to personalize it).
